Jay has always loved to sing, then one evening whilst
out with friends he plucked up the courage to sing on the local karaoke.
After a great reception Jay was happily surprised after many commented
that he should “be on stars in their eyes!!”
Jay then decided he would try a few competitions, after winning numerous
competitions all over the U.K this was the the turning point and he dedicated
long hours working hard at his craft and studying Sinatra down to the
finest detail, researching though many books and hundreds of hours of
Sinatra’s live performances taking careful note of the Sinatra style,
phrasing and also the slightest gesture and mannerism.
He was once asked the question “How do you start to take on the
persona of such a big icon like Frank Sinatra?” In which he replied
“to become the man, you must first understand the man!”
After working out his apprenticeship (as he likes to call it) on the local
pub and club scene Jay billed as ‘A touch of Sinatra’ at the Corn Exchange
Theatre in Berkshire in 2001.
He then moved over into the corporate world and is fast becoming known as the ‘true sound of Sinatra’ performing for the likes of Royal bank of Scotland, Tesco’s, Coopers & Lybrand, BSKYB to name a but a few.
Some of the venues he has performed at include Gibson Hall-London, Telford International Arena, Madejski Stadium-Reading, Chewton Glen Hotel- Dorset, The Alamo-Marine Beach Resort-Dubai, Talk of the Town Live-Milton Keynes, RMS Queen Mary II, Aghios Gordis Beach resort-Corfu the list goes on!
Jay has also helped raise money for the charity Scope and appeared on Meridian television performing for charity events.
Having just completed a successful run at Trunkwell Mansion House in the ‘Frank & Dean show’ Jay is currently travelling worldwide performing for private and corporate functions with his hit show ‘A night with O‘l Blue Eyes!’
Jay is 34 years of age and is based in the south of England with his lovely wife Kelly and three children Channiece, Jack and John.
